Group is pleased to announce the selection of
Boyt Luggage for its innovative educational
television series Great Taste, for a segment on
“traveling in style.” Kora, the new line of
luggage recently introduced, will be featured in
the segment. Produced with synthetic suede and a
European influence to create a smooth look with
soft lines, this luggage is attractive and
stylish-- yet sturdy enough for a traveler to
take on a business trip or on vacation.
Boyt’s ergonomically designed features and
product details are the result of countless
hours of observational research-- even the
interior lining integrates a full-size world map
pattern. Subtleties and nuances in design create
a compelling case that consumers can see, touch
and feel. The luggage colors come in a unique
palette of earth tones, with lush names like
sherry, Kahlua, and burgundy. The entire line is
equipped with wheels, necessary for a pleasant
traveling experience. The new Kora cases also
feature a variety of zip-in compartments that
allow for easy storage and organization. Kora
joins the firm’s other attractive luggage lines:
Gevive, Riviera, Solera, Mach3, and Eon.
The Boyt name has been synonymous with the
values upon which American business success has
been founded: quality materials, superior
craftsmanship, durability and innovation. Ever
since John Boyt opened his Des Moines saddle and
harness works in 1901, he had his name literally
branded into the leather as a personal promise
of its quality. During the World Wars, the
company became part of the democracy’s arsenal--
crafting gun cases, holsters and parachute
packs. Boyt soon applied its case-making
expertise to a range of products, including
sporting goods, hunting equipment and more.
In the first of a series of innovations, Boyt
created the market’s first soft-sided luggage,
made to last through the most grueling
situations. The new line was constructed of the
same material that had been used in Boyt gun
cases and duffels. The “No Nonsense” bags were
so successful that Boyt extended the idea into
an entire category of related products that
continues to be perfected to this day. In 1987,
the Mach II line was introduced. It quickly
established a new benchmark of success for the
industry, and served as the platform for a
number of innovations. Wheeled gliders,
high-tech polymer wheels, retractable handles
and super-strong, self-healing ballistic nylon
materials were introduced. Boyt’s
walk-in-closet® became one of the most widely
copied products on the market.
Great Taste will educate viewers on what to
look for in quality luggage, and will explain
that price and name brands do not necessarily
dictate quality. The segment will feature
interviews from a company representative and a
local distributor, along with discussions on
material, hardware, and customer service, for
which Boyt is well-known. All Boyt Brands
products are built to exacting specifications to
assure the highest quality and durability, and
the company warrants its products to be free
from defects in material and workmanship. They
will repair or replace a bag if any such defects
occur.
