Hardside luggage includes hard suitcases, attaché cases and beauty cases. The manufacture of hardside luggage requires considerable investment in engineering, Know-how and skilled personnel. Hardside cases are produced using either injection molding or vacuum forming. Both processes use molds created by computer-aided design. In injection molding, high-pressure jets force pellets of polypropylene into a cool mold. In vacuum forming, flat sheets of heated ABS plastic are pulled across cool molds under a vacuum.
